About Eric Bigham FCCA

Eric Bigham is an ACCA qualified Chartered Accountant and founder of Bigham Consulting. He advises CFOs, CEOs, and private equity partners on finance transformation, investment readiness, and strategic performance improvement. With over 25 years of experience spanning industry and consulting, Eric helps organisations navigate complexity, scale operations, and enhance financial control.

Eric has led major finance strategy programmes across sectors including banking, utilities, private equity, telecoms, international manufacturing, and digital media. His clients include Deutsche Bank Global Markets, RBS, Barclays Wealth, Standard Life, and several PE-backed, founder-led growth businesses.

Notable assignments include:

• Interim Global Head of Infrastructure Governance at Deutsche Bank, where he led a five-year strategic provider plan covering a €2.8bn cost base and 28,000 personnel.
• Head of Finance for Large Corporate Banking at RBS, supporting Group-wide change through post-merger and post-crisis transformation.
• Senior finance strategy roles with Accenture, delivering CFO initiatives for HBOS and FP&A transformation at Thames Water.

Eric began his career in practice with MacIntyre & Co Chartered Accountants (formerly MacIntyre Hudson), where he completed over 100 audit and advisory engagements for commercial, educational, and regulatory bodies — including the General Medical Council and the Law Society. This grounding gives Eric a distinctive ability to bridge technical accounting, regulatory compliance, and executive finance leadership.

He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and holds a distinction from Kingston University Business School. Eric regularly contributes to industry events and publications focused on finance transformation, regulation, and leadership.
